the society have now instituted carnivore - their data tracking system installed into the uk bethel to track all apostate email and activity.

the reason is the amount of "leaks" of confidential mail and facts.. they have tried and failed with legal blocking, so now they are plugging the leaks, these guys were brought into mill hill late last year after the leak of the june 1 letter.. their method is to use message boards and chat rooms for the "disaffected" and get them to go to other "society monitored" web sites.

When you log onto any web site, your identity is noted (notice how you get a lot of "spam" email)and also where you came from (ie yahoo, search engine, advert click through etc). This is standard commercial technology

They cannot log your identity onto this discussion group - but by getting you to "click through" to one of their monitored web sites then they know who you are,that you visited an apostate web site to get to them, your email address and can locate you if you are surfing from a company etc. From that they can trace you with ease.

Either get a clocking device put on your PC, or don't click through

The Society have now instituted CARNIVORE - their data tracking system installed into the UK Bethel to track all apostate email and activity. The reason is the amount of "leaks" of confidential mail and facts.

They have tried and failed with legal blocking, so now they are plugging the leaks, These guys were brought into Mill Hill late last year after the leak of the June 1 Letter.

Their method is to use message boards and chat rooms for the "disaffected" and get them to go to other "society monitored" web sites. How? Messages have started, and will increase, to say "look at this" or "this is a great joke" or "see the latest on xxxxxx" and there will be a hyperlink. Click that and the web site will monitor where you came from (ie the anti JW web site) and your IP address and location from the security info in all Windows products (but not Star Office or Lynax).

The society reckon that by July 1 they will know where the "leaks" are and will start to plug them immediately.

Do not follow any Hyperlink from any WTBS discussion group where you don't know the poster and you are still "in the truth". If you do it may be the society trying to track you.

Sorry to be alarmist - but this is serious

Wey Hey An Invitation To Meet PRINCE CHARLES

what excellent news came in this mornings post.

an invitation to travel upto london on the 26th of february to meet prince charles at the opening ceremony of the bromley by bow centre at which lord peyton will also be in attendance.. really, really looking forward to it.

the invitation came through from the community action network, can't wait, wey heyyyyyyy!!.

Prince Charles is a nice man, I met him and Princess Diana in happier times when they all lived at Highgrove. My daughter was very ill at the time, they both showed extra-ordinary kindness and concern both during and after the Ball.

Diana was radiant, friendly and above all a wonderful hoast who put us at our ease.

We cried when we heard Diana had died, and sent Charles a card - to which he personally replied.

Don't beleive the publicity, Prince Charles is a straight, caring and sincere man. Pity there are not more like him about

Shepherding call

It was decided that the society will still be standing at the year end. That being said how can we, as a group, cause the most damage to the Society. It needs to be united (ie same action Globally), concentrated and effective.

Can you be Df'ed without a JC?

as most of you know, i quietly left the borg and moved countries.

recently i heard from an ex jw back in my former country of residence that she had heard i had been df'ed and it was announced at a meeting... can they do this?

if it is true that is!

Yes

If you have a look at the new Disfellowshipping form on the web, it is clear there - it asks did the accused attend? was he asked to attend?

If thats not good enough then there is another plan of attack - they can announce that "By his/her actions he/she has disassociated him/her self"

Over in 20 seconds and out for a year - thats the rules

Elders

have you ever noticed (at least around here anyway) that the elders are all well to do?

they all have nice houses and nice cars.. and nice clothes.. but yet their wives dont work they are all fulltime pioneers.. and the elders jobs arent the best in the world.. how can this be?

i have never seen a elder with a little house.

I was in Liverpool for 7 years, then Newcastle for 4 years. All the Elders were "Council House" mentality - ie they didn't invest in the system as it was ending in 1975, 84 or when ever.

Its only been in the last 10 - 15 years than the "sons of Elders" came up and with thenm the standard of living. I remember one Elder who came to give a talk in Liverpool - a Stan Harland from Birkenhead - used to repair his own shoes he had that little money

"Don't Touch Him With A Bargepole"

there's been lots of talk here lately, about "fading away" from the jw faith so's not to be df'd and shunned, thereby keeping your family intact.. some people have mentioned that it is a good idea to, perhaps, move away from an area so that you can slip out of the jw belief system un-noticed.. i do recall however, from my days as a "servant", that it was normal practise for a po from the congregation of the departing one(s) to write a letter of introduction to the po of the receiving congregation, so that he could also advise the new congregation elders as to his opinion of the spiritual health of the new arrivals.. as a point of interest, when the brother who had been best man at my first marriage, who was also the ministry school servant, moved into southampton, the po told the new congregation elers not to trust their new arrival, "don't touch him with a bargepole" went the letter.

he, (the ms servant), was a touch miffed at this.. so, i was wondering, is it still normal for this sort of letter exchange to take place between the 2 congregations involved?.

also, if that is so, how can it be an easy option to swop congregations in order to fade away?

Policy is now

If the Brother is a Servant or Elder then he takes that position with him as of right - ie when he moves to the new cong he is still a MS or Elder.

If the letter shows reasons not to appoint, then this matter must be discussed FIRST with the Brother - then sent to the cong where there is agreement. If there is no agreement then the CO is involved
